I’ve shared a couple quick after school snack ideas with Tyson Mini Chicken Sandwiches over the last few weeks, but we’ve also used the Tyson Mini Chicken Sandwiches for a quick dinner idea when my son has a basketball game, or my husband or I have a meeting to go to in the evening.
One of my favorite quick sides ideas is oven fries made with both sweet potatoes and regular white potatoes.
Oven fries are super easy to make, especially if you have a french fry cutter. I don’t so you’ll have to deal with my irregular slices. I tried to cut them all about 1/4 inch thick. Even if you have to cut the fries with a knife, it doesn’t take long to make them. You can even make them ahead and put them in a bowl of cool water in the fridge. Then when you’re ready to bake them take them out, drain the water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
Once the fries are sliced toss them together in a large bowl with a tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of seas salt, a little pepper, and about a half of a tablespoon of oregano.
Spread the oven fries out in a single layer on a cookie sheet, and slip them in the oven at 400`F for about 20-25 minutes or until they’re starting to brown on the tips, and are soft all the way through.
When the oven fries have a couple minutes left to cook, take out your Tyson Mini Chicken Sandwiches. The directions for cooking them are on the box, and on each individual bag. I like that, since I don’t have much room in my refrigerator freezer. I can take the sandwiches out of the box and store the bags individually in the freezer, and still have the directions.
Less than 2 minutes in the microwave and they’re ready for dinner!
Get the oven fries out of the oven, and add some ketchup, or your child’s favorite dipping sauce and dinner is served.
We’ve been getting the regular Tyson Mini Chicken Sandwiches the last couple times. This time our Walmart had the sandwiches with cheese, so we decided to give them a try. My son likes both, and said it didn’t matter which kind I get next time.
The Tyson Mini Chicken Sandwiches are not available in all Walmart stores. I tried to find them in another local Walmart, but they didn’t have them. Before you go shopping, check out the store locator at www.tysongoodness.com to see if they’re in a store near you.

Those oven fries look delicious. Every time I’ve ever tried to make sweet potato fries they’ve never turned out right. There’s always something wrong. Most of the time they are like rubber.
I’m gonna have to get some of the tyson mini chicken sandwiches next time I go to Walmart. My 3 year old daughter loves chicken sandwiches. They’re the perfect size for her!
I’ve really been wanting to try these, but unfortunately my WalMart doesn’t have them yet! My kids have their snack time at school right before they leave to come home, but somehow they’re always starving by the time they walk in the door anyway. I’m sure they’d love these
