Right before Christmas I received a Sky High Tink toy to review from Jakks Pacific. My niece is a big Tinker Bell fan, she’s the one I made these Tinkerbell Cupcake toppers for last fall. So I surprised her with it during our family Christmas party, and she was super excited to give it a try!
Of course we had to take it out in the yard and test it out that day! Sky High Tink has a pull string on the side, if you pull it out quickly while you’re holding the doll straight up and down she will launch into the air.
She had a hard time at first pulling the string fast enough to get her into the air.
One thing to note: The Sky High Tink has a safety mechanism built into the product to prevent injury to someone standing nearby. The only way the Tink doll can be launched is if the product is held vertically. If you try to launch it on an angle, it will not work properly!
My niece also had a hard time with this when we first started. She had to focus on keeping the doll straight up and down while she pulled the cord quickly. She did get it though and had a blast launching Tink in the back yard.
She had a good time playing with it for quite a while! I’m glad the weather was fairly nice. Sky High Tink is not recommended for children under 3 because it can have small pieces break off and cause a choking hazard. I would recommend kids be at least 6-7 for this toy. I think younger children would have a hard time coordinating the launch. My niece figured it out, but it took a couple misses before she launched Tink into the air. Younger children would probably need an adult’s assistance.
I’m sure Sky High Tink will be a favorite for Tinkerbell fans everywhere! You can find the toy at Target here: Sky High Tink for a retail price of around $16.99.
