Ice Cream and Pizza Pool Party Summer Fun! #GrabSummerFun

by Linette

It’s been plenty warm here in Ohio for the last couple weeks! One of our favorite ways to beat the heat is to hit the pool. I decided it would be fun to plan an ice cream and pizza pool party last Tuesday. Before the party my son and I headed to Walmart to pick up everything we needed. My son wanted to pick the pizza and the ice cream for the party!

First up we hit the ice cream aisle, and zeroed in on the Nestle Drumsticks. I remember my grandma stocking these in her freezer every summer when I was a kid! I don’t remember all these yummy flavors though! See more: Nestle Products at Walmart

There are even Mini Drumsticks, cookie coated, and some with mint ice cream. Yum!

Next up we head for the pizza! Tombstone Pizza is a favorite at our house, especially as a quick supper after baseball games in the summer! My son picked out a couple of his favorites, including Garlic Cheese Pizza, Canadian Bacon, and 4 Meat Pizza.

Once we made our picks we headed for the checkout!

It’s been really hot here every day, except for the day we planned our pool party! Of course! A cold front came through the evening before, so it was a little cool for swimming that morning. We didn’t let that stop us from having fun! We cooked up the Tombstone pizzas and set everything up on the back deck.

Everyone had their pizza favorite. My son liked the Canadian Bacon, his cousin liked the Garlic Cheese pizza.

His friend liked the 4 Meat Pizza. All of them had a great time enjoying the meal.

We also served up some yummy watermelon and fresh lemonade to go with the pizza! It’s sooo delicious this time of year, and fit right into our summer theme.

The pizza was definitely a big hit! Not much was left by the time the kids were all done.

They did save some room for ice cream though! Everyone tried a different flavor. My son gave the Simply Dipped Mint Drumsticks a try, and gave them two thumbs up.

My niece tried the Cookie Dipped Vanilla Fudge.

The Mini Drumsticks were a big hit with the adults! They remind me of the Drumsticks I had growing up, but they’re a little smaller, which is good for my waistline!

Overall we had a really fun day, and the kids even got to swim a little, and played a little basketball as the day warmed up!

We absolutely LOVE drumsticks in this house. It’s the perfect way to stay cool all summer long. My kids love the mini sizes since the larger ones are a tad too big for them to finish (they’re 3.5 and 19 months).
