A Little Diversion On Social Media

Published by Linette at 8:08 pm under Contests/Giveaways

I know this has nothing to do with children, or birthday parties, but bear with me through this one post. I read eMoms at Home’s post today about using social media, and it started my brain cranking. I had to post a response, and it landed here.

I use social media to interact with other bloggers, and writers. It can get kinda lonely here by myself all day, and I really enjoy the interaction, and getting to know others with similar interests. I have made several good connections through social media.

Sometimes it’s hard to justify the time spent on social media, but I look at it as the string that ties everything together. Interacting with others helps keep you connected. It can also lead to some great opportunities.

I recently had the opportunity to start blogging at Mother Earth’s Garden. I don’t think I would have had that chance if I just sat here and published blog posts and did not interact with others through blog comments, forums, and social networks. The best part is I’m building some great relationships with people I really enjoy working with.

Social Networking also ties everything together by creating a network of links. I get my information out there for others to view, and at the same time I get to see what everyone else has to say (and keep up on the latest gossip while I’m doing it). Getting paid to interact with others, what can be better than that?

Ok, back to our regularly scheduled program…

I am with you! If I did not interact with other moms online…I would feel very alone in the internet world! It’s a great way to connect, promote, and meet other great people!
