Plan A Madagascar Escape 2 Africa Party

Published by Linette under Party Themes

Madagascar 2 Party Supplies
All your favorite loveable characters from Madagascar are back in Madagascar Escape 2 Africa. I thought I’d give you some ideas for a Madagascar birthday, or premiere party.

The Decorations

  • Decorate the house with a jungle theme.
  • Use brown poster board, and green construction paper to make palm trees, or purchase inflatable palm trees
  • Hang mini palm tree pinatas around the room.
  • Cut brown paper bags into jungle vines to hang from the ceiling.

Madagascar Party Activities

  • Let the guests make their own funky jungle hat out of construction paper.
  • Jungle crafts ideas- paper bag animal puppet, toilet paper roll animals, paper plate and yarn lion
  • Let them “move it, move it” to the beat of the Madagascar music.
  • Watch the original Madagascar movie.
  • Go on a Madagascar escape from the island treasure hunt. Place clues around the house or yard, and let the guests try to find their way off the island with the clues. Put in some pitfalls, such as the plane runs out of gas, the lemurs hold them hostage, etc.

Madagascar Party Invitations

Ebay is a great source for Madagascar party invitations.

If you’d rather make your own you can use jungle clip art, or stationary to print them. If you’d prefer to make them from scratch it can be a fun project for the kids to use construction paper to make a jungle with palm trees and one of the characters.

Some fun sayings for your Madagascar party invitations might include:

  • You’re Invited to Move It, Move It to ———–’s house for a birthday party.
  • Come help your favorite zoo characters escape from Madagascar…

Feel free to share your Madagascar party ideas below.

Music Note Cupcakes

Published by Linette under Cupcakes

music note cupcakes I made music note cupcakes to celebrate the premiere of High School Musical 3 on the big screen. They were easy to make. I made the music notes with music candy molds music candy molds, then iced the cupcakes with a Wilton 2D Decorating Tip

Mold the chocolate by melting the colored chocolate discs according to the package directions. I use cake decorating bags to pipe the chocolate into the mold. Check for air bubbles, then let the chocolate cool and harden. Once the chocolate has cooled you can remove it from the mold.

The molded chocolate music notes would also make wonderful party favors.

Are you planning a High School Musical 3 party? Please feel free to share the details.

Fall Craft Project- Pumpkins on a Fence

IMG_3989 Here’s an easy fall or Halloween craft project for kids. It would be a fun and easy craft to do for a Halloween or harvest party.

What You’ll Need

White paper

Construction paper in orange, brown, green, yellow, red, and green

pop-cicle sticks

brown paper bag

blue water color paint

salt

glue

scissors

How to make it

The background is salt painted, by adding salt to water color paints, then letting the mixture dry on the paper. When the paint is dry it has white spots showing through the blue. It works great for a sky background. Just wipe the salt right off.

The ground is created by using 2 different colors of brown. For this picture the darker brown is construction paper, and the lighter brown is a paper sack. Cut wavy sections to make the ground look hilly, then layer two or three layers of hills.

The fence is made from pop-cicle sticks, and the pumpkins are cut out of orange construction paper, then the details have been added with crayon.

The final touches are bright colored leaves and grasses also cut out of scraps of construction paper.

Pumpkins on a fence is really not hard to make, and it’s a really cute project. The painted background may need to be done ahead of time for the children. The kids should be able to do the rest, with a little assistance from adults.
